Marion Sabrié holds a PhD in Geography from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris. Her work focuses on Myanmar and its regional and national integration. She speaks fluently Burmese as she has lived there from 2007 to 2010, got a B.A. in Burmese language and goes back in Asia every year. She is an associated researcher at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CASE) in Paris. In parallel, she teaches Geography to students from Year 9 to Year 13 in an English Highschool in Nicosia, in Cyprus. She is also doing a Master 1 of French as a Second Language (distance learning) at the University Stendhal in Grenoble, in France. She is glad to have joined the DIY Information Media and Literacy MOOC, as every day she tries to develop her pedagogy using technological and interactive tools.
